Au Takes CAS International Crown

A dominant performance from Hong Kong’s Annie Au saw the World No.11 overcome Malaysian teenager Sivasangari Subramaniam in straight games to lift the 2017 Chief of Air Staff (CAS) International Women Squash Championship, PSA W25 title.

Both the CAS International and the Pakistan Open Men’s Squash Championship are held side-by-side at the Mushaf Squash Complex & PSB Roshan Khan Squash Complex in Islamabad after the Professional Squash Association’s (PSA) decision to begin sanctioning tournaments in the country again.

And Au took the CAS International crown courtesy of a comfortable 11-5, 11-7, 11-1 triumph over 18-year-old Subramaniam to earn the 14th Tour title of her career.

In the Pakistan Open, World Championship runner-up Marwan ElShorbagy and World No.11 Mohamed Abouelghar will face off in the final of the PSA M50 tournament after they claimed semi-final victories over Zahed Mohamed and Leo Au, respectively.

The final will be an all-Egyptian affair between the top-seeded duo, while ElShorbagy currently leads the head-to-head record 2-0.
