Edward (Ted) Wallbutton was educated in Bristol, England and qualified in Business Studies, specialising in International Marketing. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Graduate Member of the Institute of Export.

Ted spent 25 years in large consumer good companies as a Marketing Manager, starting in the wine trade and continuing through cosmetic, pharmaceuticals and a major household, surgical, contraceptive and medicines company.

In 1982 he became one of the first marketing Managers of sport, when he joined the Squash Rackets Association of England. He became Chief Executive of the English Table Tennis Association in 1987 and Executive Director of the World Squash Federation in 1990.

Ted’s first sports were Rugby and Squash but although he still plays Squash regularly, and badly, he is also addicted to tennis and competitively sailing a Laser in the sea off Hastings, England.
