Day 1: Nick Matthew from England has a momentous win against No.1 seed Australian David Palmer. Was Palmer feeling the strain of losing the Liverpool 08 Open Final to
Amr Shabana the previous day.

Day 1: Lee Beachill seeded No. 7  won a five game marathon against 2nd seed Anthony Ricketts

Day 1: Amr Shabana has his second win in three years in the Super Series finals.
The first was also against Thierry Lincou!
